Proposed renters will be asked to provide information regarding their liability insurance coverage, if any, in effect at the time of the rental. Insurance coverage equal to the Nevada statutory requirements shall be available upon rental.

Optional protections.

Collision/Loss Damage Waiver $24.49/day. Renter shall be responsible up to the full value of the vehicle regardless of whether Renter is at fault if Loss Damage Waiver is declined. LDW insurance for passenger vans is $32.99/day. Optional protections necessary.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is a protection option that relieves you of financial responsibility if the rental car is damaged or stolen. LDW is not insurance.

Are your optional protections really necessary?

Answer:   Budget offers various types of optional protections such as Loss Damage Waiver (LDW), which is not insurance, to protect against damage to tour car and Personal Accident and Effects Insurance (PAE) $7.75 per day, to protect you if your injured and your possessions in the event of loss. Additional drivers are an additional $11.44 per day.

Will my own insurance cover the damage to a Budget car?

In addition, you may have coverage available to you through your credit card company. You should contact your insurance company and/or credit card company to confirm what coverage is available (if any) for rental cars before renting any vehicle. Only then will you be able to make an informed decision on whether to accept our optional Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) protection.

Should I purchase coverage for my Budget vehicle from a travel package Web site?

 Remember - if the insurance doesn't cover your loss, you will remain personally responsible for any difference! To be on the safe side, consider Budget's optional Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) because it reduces your financial liability for loss or damage to the rental car for as long as you rent the vehicle under the terms of the Budget rental agreement. Cost of LDW varies by location, but it's a reasonably-priced plan with a low daily rate.

What should I do if I'm involved in an accident or the car is damaged during my rental?

 For an international (non-U.S.) claim, please contact us via e-mail for non-U.S. claims . If you purchased Budget Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) with your rental, your claims process is now complete. Loss Damage Waiver is an optional service which, if accepted, eliminates your financial liability for loss or damage to the Budget vehicle, its parts and accessories, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

What insurance do you offer while I'm renting?

By purchasing PAE in combination with ESP, international renters who might otherwise have no medical coverage available to them while in the U.S. are protected against medical expenses that result either from accident or sickness. - Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) offered by car rental companies is not insurance. It's an option that relieves renters of financial responsibility if the car is damaged or stolen while under rental contract.

Unlimited mileage applies within the following states: CA, UT, AZ and NV. Vehicles may not be driven outside the United States. Renter shall be entitled to the time and mileage rental charge as stated for this vehicle plus other applicable charges as long as the vehicle is not driven outside of the authorized area without prior written approval. If the vehicle is driven outside the authorized area without prior written approval, the time and mileage rental charge as stated will be revoked and fifty cents ($.50) per mile for every mile the vehicle is driven will be charged from the beginning of the rental including any miles driven within the authorized states.
 

The rental vehicle may be equipped with a global positioning system which monitors the location of the vehicle and notifies Budget if the vehicle is taken outside the authorized area. The global positioning system may be used to assist in locating and recovering the vehicle and further to monitor the vehicle to determine if it is being operated at an excessive speed.
 

For the convenience of our customers, Budget offers a fuel purchase option that allows renters to purchase a tank of gas *IN ADVANCE* at the prevailing self service station rate for regular unleaded fuel. There are three refueling options 

Option 1 - Return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as provided at the time of rental
Option 2 - Return the vehicle with less than the amount initially provided and pay a refueling service fee
Option 3 - Fuel Purchase Option - Pay in advance, at time of rental, for a full tank of fuel based on the size of the gas tank and the prevailing self service station rate for regular unleaded fuel

Valid U.S./Canadian/Intl Drivers license required/Good driving record a requirement/At the time of rental we may ask renters about their driving record to determine rental eligibility. In an effort to keep our rental rate as low as possible, Budget requires its renters to have safe driving as a qualification for rental. For details the renter may ask upon arrival or contact their Department of Motor Vehicles. This requirement does not apply to CorpRate renters on business, government renters on official orders, or inbound international renters. Additional drivers must meet same qualifications as primary driver. Additional driver fee $11.44/per day.

Renter must provide two forms of identification.  International drivers must present passport at time of rental.

Budget of Las Vegas requires a major credit card in renter’s name as a form of deposit for car classes G,H,W,K,P,F and L. Minimum credit card hold of $200 or the estimated charges, whichever is greater.

Debit Cards - Budget accepts bank debit cards with the MasterCard or Visa logo at the time of rental.  Debit card users are subject to a credit check to determine credit worthiness.  At the time of rental Budget requires a debit card authorization hold of $200.00 plus estimated rental charges – unless you have prepaid your rental in which case the hold will be $100.00.   Debit card customers may be asked to present two of the following identifications in addition to drivers license. Pre-paid debit cards will not be accepted.

 

• A valid U.S. passport or current U.S. military card
• A current vehicle insurance card
• A current copy (within the last 30 days) of two utility bill
• Local renters must present proof of residency with matching addresses

 

Credit cards -  At time of rental Budget will require a credit card hold of total estimated rental charges or $200, whichever is greater.

  

Drop Fee - There will be a $25 drop fee applied if you return rental vehicle to different Las Vegas location other than rental pick up location.
