It’s that time of year again, convention season here in fabulous Las Vegas. This time of year kicks of with the CES ( Consumer Electronics Show) one of the largest of the year and the conventions just keep on coming from here. During the first few months of the year Vegas is a very busy place to be with the hundreds and hundreds of conventions in town. Some of the larger conventions are Photo Marketing Association, Shooting, Hunting & Outdoor Trade Show, ShotT Show, Adult Entertainment Expo, World of Concrete, World Shoe Association, MAGIC Marketplace Spring Show, Golf Course Show, Nightclub and Bar Show, just to name a few.

During this time of year, planning your trip to Las Vegas for a convention or vacation is very important to do in advance. Book your flight, hotel and rental car as soon as you can. Making reservation in advance will get you better pricing during this peak time of the year. When attending a convention in Las Vegas, renting a car is the best option for your transportation needs. Taxi cab and monorail rides can add up when you are attending a convention. When you have a rental car you can be on your own schedule and will have the freedom to venture off the strip if you would like. All of the hotels on the main Las Vegas Strip offer free parking. However when heading to downtown Las Vegas be aware there are some areas where you will need to pay for parking.

Consider your rental car needs when you are traveling to Las Vegas for a convention. Will you be networking? Will you be taking clients out and picking them up in your rental car? How many bags did you bring with you? Are you working a booth or attending? Answering these questions will help you determine if you need a larger car, SUV, or even a luxury vehicle. Are you familiar with the city? If not, rent a GPS for your car to avoid getting lost and running late. It is also a great idea to pre-pay for your gas to give you one less thing to worry about when you return the car and are trying to catch a flight.
